Polly Rosenbaum State Archives and History Building
Dedicated on January 15, 2009. The two-story facility has more than 124,000 square feet and holds more than nineteen miles of records, 125,000 photographs, 35,000 history books, 32,000 historic maps, 7,000 museum artifacts, and more. Named in honor of Edwynne “Polly” Rosenbaum (1899-2003), who served in the Arizona Legislature for forty-five years, Arizona’s longest continuing serving legislator.

In April every year, this program encourages communities across Arizona to read and discuss the same adult book and kids' book at the same time and participate in programs centered around these books. From 2007 to 2012, all ONEBOOKs focus on Arizona themes as Arizonans read their way to the Centennial.

The Carnegie Lunchtime Speaker Series offers free monthly lectures for local residents and employees. Area historians, authors, and experts speak on a variety of Arizona history and literacy topics as a way to promote lifelong learning among adults.

Welcome to the Digital Age of Talking Books
Audio books for visually impaired patrons of the Braille and Talking Book Library are changing from cassettes to digital cartridges. Available by mail to those who have difficulty reading standard print books because of vision loss or physical impairment.
